Multilingual Parent Advisory Crew

The Multilingual Parent Advisory Crew is a support crew for parents or guardians of Multilingual Learners. Here parents learn more about the school community and have a space to have their voices elevated. If you would like more information regarding this group email Mrs. Sarah Said, Director of Language and Equity Programs at ssaid@emsacharter.org

Goals:

  • Let multilingual parents have a voice in the EMSA community.
  • Have a forum for parents to have say in ELPS/Bilingual services
  • Create a community that is inviting and supportive to all families
  • Support social events that celebrate EMSA’s diversity

In the past the MPAC has provided meetings and events regarding the following topics:

  • Literacy and Language Learning

MPAC Multilingual Celebrations of Learning

Multilingual Celebrations of Learning will happen once in the fall and another time in the Spring as an effort to Celebrate the Work of Our Multilingual Learners. We give families an opportunity to explore the learning targets of the quarter that their child worked towards as well as an update on their child’s progress towards language goals.
